Ladies Sangeet Party – A prewedding celebration (like a bridal shower) where female relatives and friends of the bride’s family celebrate the occasion with plenty of singing and dancing. Traditionally only the women celebrate this but nowadays both men and women participate to celebrate this occasion. The bride and groom’s family now mostly celebrates it at a common place like a reception or banquet hall or a hotel ballroom.
I captured their prewedding session a few months back, you can see it here. Today is part 1 of the celebrations, the ladies sangeet was held at the Castle Hill Community Centre. There was plenty of dancing and singing and also great food. Here are some teaser images 🙂
