Baptism photos are always special, but when they’re paired with a happy baby, the day and the photos are nothing short of wonderful.
Baby Olivia’s christening at Mater Dei Church at Blakehurst was a beautiful day for everyone involved. The baptism was held after Sunday Mass at the light-filled Mater Dei Church in Blakehurst. I had already captured some family photos outside the church before the baptism since Olivia was so happy and playful. When working with kids it’s always important to be prepared for the tantrums! I almost couldn’t believe my eyes when Olivia was just as cheerful and bubbly all throughout and after the baptism – it’s the first time I’ve captured a baptism where the baby hasn’t gotten upset at any time. She was an absolute joy to photograph.
To ensure we captured a full story of the day for Olivia’s family, and to make the most of everyone’s good mood, I snapped some more photos with Olivia and her extended family after the baptism outside the church. Lunch followed at The Pines Restaurant Cronulla for a proper celebration with family and friends filled with good food, conversation, love, and laughter.
