Traditionally only the women celebrate this but nowadays both men and women participate to celebrate this occasion. The bride and groom’s family now mostly celebrates it at a common place like a reception or banquet hall or a hotel ballroom.

I captured their prewedding session a few months back, you can see it here. Today is part 1 of the celebrations, the ladies sangeet was held at the Castle Hill Community Centre. There was plenty of dancing and singing and also great food. Here are some teaser images :)
