The ceremony was at the lovely Allegro Function Centre at Kenthurst. The Indian wedding ceremony went for an hour followed by a quick Chinese tea ceremony & then a light lunch before we headed to Sydney CBD & Sebel Pier One for some informals and also to get change. The weather was perfect all day until the photo session, but we still got some great images :) Hair and Makeup was by Kerry Beever. It was also great to work with Troy (videographer) at EncoreMedia again.

Henna body art is made by applying henna paste to the skin.  Henna was applied for luck as well as joy and beauty. Brides typically had the most henna, and the most complex patterns. Traditionally only the women celebrate this but nowadays both men and women participate to celebrate this occasion. The bride and groom’s family now mostly celebrates it at a common place like a reception or banquet hall or a hotel ballroom.

I captured their prewedding session a few months back, you can see it here. Today is part 1 of the celebrations, the ladies sangeet was held at the Castle Hill Community Centre. There was plenty of dancing and singing and also great food. Here are some teaser images :)
